The Lugger Hotel
Portloe, Cornwall

Dinner, bed and breakfast on the Cornish coast
A great place for a UK coastal retreat, The Lugger Hotel is a scenic hotel tucked into the cove and harbour of Portloe - an idyllic fishing village on the South Cornish coast - within the Roseland Peninsula and surrounded by cliffs and headlands (that form part of the Cornish Coastal Footpath). The white buildings perched on the coast, make for a picturesque setting next to the scattering of fishing boats. The hotel also boasts a rich history, having formerly been a 17th Century inn and haunt of local smugglers...
You can meander along the scenic coastline - taking in the fresh air and fantastic sea view - and when you're suitably giddy, return to feast on lobster and fine wine at the hotel's award-winning restaurant (with an AA Rosette for excellence). There's also a fuly-equipped spa where you can indulge in a range of natural, rejuvenating spa therapies - a chance to fully unwind. The historic hotel is situated near to the beach in the South Cornish Coast neighborhood and close to Caerhays Castle and Porthluney Cove, with some fantastic local attractions nearby, including The Eden Project, The National Maritime Museum, and Tate St Ives. Other local sights include Dodman Point and Lost Gardens of Heligan.
